The discussion reflected the state’s broader strategy for developing new urban communities and promoting diversified investment opportunities in response to the city’s accelerating urban growth.

Engineer Mahmoud Mourad stated that New Obour City holds strong investment potential, positioning it as one of the most promising destinations for investment in East Cairo. He highlighted the notable progress achieved in infrastructure implementation and service projects, in addition to the city’s strategic location and direct connectivity to major roads and transportation corridors.
The head of the authority also reviewed the city’s key investment areas and the opportunities available across urban, commercial, administrative, educational, and service sectors.
These opportunities are designed to meet the needs of various segments of society, ranging from middle-income housing projects to upscale residential developments. He further outlined the infrastructure works and the educational, medical, and commercial services currently being implemented or already operating within the city.
Discussion of Added Land Regularization Plans
The meeting additionally covered plans concerning lands added under regularization procedures and the mechanisms proposed for utilizing them in a way that supports organized urban expansion and maximizes the value of available assets. These efforts are intended to contribute to sustainable development goals and enhance investment activity within the city.
For his part, Dr. Engineer Ahmed Ismail Gabr noted that real estate investment remains one of the primary drivers for accelerating development in new urban communities. He explained that New Obour City presents a distinguished example of modern urban planning through its integrated infrastructure network, advanced planning framework, and strategic geographic position.
He added that these factors help strengthen the investment environment and attract more serious investors, ultimately supporting sustainable economic growth and advancing the state’s vision of creating integrated urban communities that offer a high standard of living while meeting future development needs.
