Engineer Bassam Mohamed Fadl, Head of the Sheikh Zayed City Authority, welcomed Engineer Ammar Mandour, Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Development and Construction Sector, along with Engineer Mohamed Zuhair, Assistant to the Vice Chairman of the Authority, during a comprehensive field visit aimed at monitoring the progress of several residential and service projects, as well as reviewing ongoing upgrading and development works in various districts throughout the city.
The visit was conducted as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to monitor the implementation rates of national projects in Sheikh Zayed City, ensure compliance with approved timelines, and maintain the highest standards of quality in both construction and public services provided to residents.
Monitoring Expansion Projects in Sheikh Zayed City
The field tour covered the “Zelal” project located in the New Expansions area within Decision No. 77 of 2017 in New Zayed City, where officials reviewed the current execution rates and the status of works on site.
During the inspection, Engineer Ammar Mandour highlighted the importance of intensifying work efforts, increasing construction rates, and shortening the project timeline in order to complete the project at the earliest possible date.
He stressed that this would support the timely delivery of residential units while ensuring full adherence to the technical specifications and quality standards approved by the New Urban Communities Authority.
The tour also included reviewing the implementation of 14 new residential buildings, with the Authority’s leadership emphasizing the need to speed up construction activities and finalize all project stages according to the approved schedules.
Focus on Accelerating Delivery of the “Janna 4” Project
Within the same tour, the Vice Chairman of the Authority reviewed the progress of residential units in the “Janna 4” project, considered one of the leading residential developments in Sheikh Zayed City. The inspection included reviewing the remaining works as well as the readiness of utilities and supporting services within the project.
Engineer Ammar Mandour stressed the importance of completing all remaining works with the highest quality standards in preparation for handing over fully serviced residential units to beneficiaries, while continuing the delivery of the remaining units in accordance with the Authority’s approved timeline.
Officials from the city authority reaffirmed their commitment to executing residential developments in line with modern urban planning standards, contributing to improved quality of life and the creation of a fully integrated residential community within the city.
Inspection of Roads and Public Services
The tour further included inspections of Sheikh Zayed City’s entrances and the city’s main and secondary road networks, in addition to a visit to the Thirteenth District to review the efficiency of public services and the level of urban discipline, while ensuring the readiness of infrastructure and the effectiveness of ongoing development works.
These inspection tours are part of the New Urban Communities Authority’s strategy to continuously monitor national projects, accelerate implementation rates, and improve service quality across new urban communities.
Engineer Bassam Mohamed Fadl, Head of the City Authority, emphasized the importance of implementing the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, along with Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister for the New Urban Communities Authority, regarding the necessity of continuous monitoring of project implementation rates.
He noted that the extensive field tour in Sheikh Zayed City reflects the state’s commitment to advancing development efforts and achieving the highest levels of execution efficiency.
