The New Obour City Authority held an extensive meeting on Saturday to review the progress of land regularization files, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Emara, Assistant Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector, along with senior officials from the sector. The meeting was also attended by the city authority’s management, headed by Engineer Mahmoud Murad.
This meeting was held in implementation of directives from Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, aimed at accelerating the completion of land status reconciliation procedures, maximizing state resources, and safeguarding the rights of citizens.
The discussions focused on evaluating the ongoing files and reviewing progress rates across various areas, including the Al-Amal Association, Al-Qadisiyah Association, Ahmed Orabi Association, the Al-Weqaf Union, and the Kilometer 48 zone. The meeting also reviewed the implementation status of the service corridor and the NUCA’s in-kind share, with the goal of maximizing the utilization of state assets.

Dr. Ahmed Emara stressed the importance of adhering to the designated timeline and ensuring precise monitoring of execution rates through continuous coordination between departments and enhanced daily supervision. He also emphasized the need for strict action against any entity that fails to meet its obligations or delays in fulfilling land regularization requirements.
For his part, Engineer Mahmoud Murad noted that the authority is working at full capacity to accelerate the review and execution of applications, giving priority to social considerations and the rights of small landowners, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
The discussions also included the adoption of firm and clear legal measures to address violations and unauthorized activities within Zones 13 and 14, ensuring decisive resolution of pending files, protecting public funds, and supporting the city’s development efforts.
The meeting concluded with an affirmation of the continued daily monitoring efforts and the intensification of work to finalize all regularization procedures. This comes as part of the state’s commitment to ensuring transparency, protecting citizens’ rights, and enhancing the efficiency of asset management to support urban stability and sustainable development in new cities.
