Study of a New Social and Distinguished Housing Project in Marsa Alam

Hazem Khalil, Head of Marsa Alam City, met on Tuesday with Engineer Mohamed Abdel Moneim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Director of the Housing Directorate in the Red Sea Governorate, accompanied by a group of engineers. The meeting focused on the proposed development of two residential areas in Marsa Alam—one designated for social housing and the other for distinguished (premium) housing.

Major General Khalil and Engineer Abdel Moneim also visited the proposed site for the two projects in preparation for conducting feasibility studies and obtaining the necessary approvals. In addition, they inspected the construction progress of the new local unit building to assess the execution rates.

The Head of Marsa Alam emphasized the importance of continuous effort and cooperation to improve services provided to citizens, youth, and local residents. He highlighted that the state is making unprecedented efforts to develop all service sectors and alleviate burdens on citizens, in line with the directives of Major General Amr Hanafy, Governor of the Red Sea. These efforts include studying the needs of the public, finding suitable solutions, and following up on projects through field inspections.

For his part, the Undersecretary expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Marsa Alam Local Unit, stressing the importance of ongoing collaboration between the Housing Directorate and the local authority to achieve sustainable development.
