The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities is preparing to open the reservation process for new housing apartments at the beginning of next week. Since the registration and reservation process is conducted electronically through the Social Housing Fund website, citizens interested in securing an apartment must ensure that all data is entered accurately during registration.
Steps to Register on the Social Housing Fund Website
To complete the reservation process for the new Obour apartments, please follow these steps:
- Visit the Social Housing Fund website.
- Click on the “Apply for a Housing Unit” icon.
- Please type your name exactly as it appears on your national ID card.
- Enter your national ID number.
- Provide your mobile phone number.
- Create a password.
- Confirm the password using the verification code sent to your phone.
- Fill in all the required details.
- Indicate your marital status as mentioned on your national ID (Single, Married, Divorced, Widowed).
The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has announced that applications for reserving 320 new housing units in the Second District Extension of Obour City will be accepted starting next Sunday, February 16, 2025.
The ministry also stated that the down payment for Obour apartments is EGP 100,000, in addition to a 2% administrative fee per unit. After four weeks of reservation, 20% of the total unit price must be paid. The price per square meter in these housing units is EGP 18,000, with an option for installments over five years per the terms and conditions. The available apartment sizes range from 86 to 132 square meters per unit.
