Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, confirmed that the online platform for applying to the “Housing for All Egyptians 5” project is functioning effectively, with approximately 409,000 applicants successfully uploading their documents so far. She noted that common issues faced by users include forgotten passwords, previous applications, or incomplete account details.
To address these challenges, the fund launched an additional platform to assist applicants encountering technical difficulties in uploading their documents. Abdel Hamid clarified that this new platform is not a substitute for the official application website but a tool designed to resolve technical problems, saving applicants time and effort while reducing the need to visit customer service centers. She emphasized that the submission process has been largely successful, with a significant number of applicants completing their submissions seamlessly.
The fund has also established several customer service centers in cities such as Badr, Hadayek October, New Obour, 15 May, New Minya, and New Tiba. These centers operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, assisting applicants with registration issues, forwarding complaints to the fund’s customer service team, and providing solutions within 24 hours.
Applicants are required to submit the following documents to complete their applications:
- Official income certificate from the workplace.
- Recent utility bill (electricity, water, or gas).
- Digital family record (if applicable).
- Digital marriage certificate (if applicable).
- Social insurance statement for private and public sector employees.
- National ID copies of both spouses.
- Current lease contract for renters.
- Proof of booking payment and terms and conditions booklet.
- Completed reservation form included in the booklet.
These efforts highlight the Social Housing Fund’s commitment to streamlining the application process and ensuring that citizens can access housing opportunities efficiently.
