Searches for social housing apartments for rent in 2026 are increasing as the reservation process begins for units under the new “Housing for All Egyptians 9” initiative. The initiative allows citizens, including people with disabilities, to apply for housing units under the rental system, subject to a set of specific rules and conditions.

Reservations will remain open until October 28, with applications available electronically through the designated platforms. To complete the application, applicants must register their personal information and upload the required documents, along with the reservation form and declaration according to the specified templates.
The reservation seriousness deposit is EGP 15,000, while registration fees amount to EGP 365. These amounts must be paid according to the specified procedures when applying.

Conditions for Obtaining Housing for All Egyptians 9 Units
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and no more than 35 years old by the end of the announcement period. The family’s net monthly income must not exceed EGP 16,000. Applicants or any of their family members must also not have previously received a housing unit or benefited from government housing support.
People with disabilities must provide a valid Integrated Services Card, in addition to meeting the other conditions of the initiative. Applicants must also have a connection to the governorate where the unit is located through residence, employment, or being originally from that governorate.
Locations and Sizes of Available Units
The offering includes units of different sizes, most notably 75 and 90 square meters. It also includes units ranging from 96 to 100 square meters within projects in “Decent Life” villages.
The units are distributed across several governorates and new cities, including Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Menoufia, Damietta, Ismailia, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, and Aswan. They are also available in cities such as New October, New Obour, 15 May, Sadat, and New Aswan.
Allocation and Contracting Procedures
After submitting the application, the file is reviewed to verify the accuracy of the submitted information and documents. A field inquiry is then conducted once the applicant meets the eligibility requirements.
If the application is approved, the applicant is notified of the unit allocation and the contracting procedures begin. Citizens have the right to inspect the unit within 10 working days before signing the contract. Contracting procedures must be completed within 30 days from the date of notification of the allocation. After receiving the unit, the beneficiary must pay the applicable rent, maintenance, management, and collection fees.
