SME Investors Praise Housing Ministry’s Proactive Approach to Investment Requests

The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises Investors has commended the Ministry of Housing for its remarkable responsiveness to investor requests and its efforts to streamline decision-making processes. The Union also highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening the role of trustees’ councils and investors’ associations while enhancing governance in investment-related procedures and training for system operators.

Alaa Al-Saqti, Chairman of the Union, expressed his appreciation during a meeting with Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, alongside a group of investors. Al-Saqti lauded the Ministry’s efforts to implement the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Support Law and create an investment-friendly environment. These measures aim to ensure that SMEs secure a significant share of tenders and available opportunities.

Al-Saqti emphasized the vital role the housing, construction, and building sectors play in supporting SMEs, noting their substantial contribution to the sector’s development in recent years.

He further affirmed the willingness of economic civil society organizations, including unions and associations, to collaborate actively with the government and fulfill their primary role as partners in local development. This partnership is seen as a cornerstone for fostering economic growth and empowering SMEs in Egypt.
