The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities continues to offer rent-to-own apartments in 2026 as part of the units provided by the New Urban Communities Authority, with a total of 10,000 housing units distributed across several new cities. Applications remain open until October 19.

The offered units are distributed across 26 new cities, including New Cairo, 15th of May, Badr, El Shorouk, New Obour, Obour, New 6th of October, New Borg El Arab, New Alamein, New Damietta, Sadat, 10th of Ramadan, New Salhia, New Mansoura, New Rashid, New Fayoum, New Fashn, New Beni Suef, New Minya, New Mallawi, New Nasser, New Assiut, New Sohag, New Qena, New Tiba, and New Aswan.
The units are distributed across several housing projects, including Janna, Valley Towers East, Dar Misr, Sakan Misr, Developed Housing, Distinguished Housing, Economic Housing, National Housing, Rawdat Al Obour, Future Housing, Youth Housing, and Low-Cost Housing.
Unit Areas and Delivery Date
The areas of the rent-to-own apartments start from 57 square meters and reach 161 square meters, depending on the project and city. The offering includes 5,000 completed units that are ready for delivery, along with another 5,000 units scheduled to be constructed and delivered within a period of up to 36 months in several cities.
The units scheduled for construction include projects in New 6th of October, New Obour, New Borg El Arab, New Alamein, Hadayek 10th of Ramadan, Sadat, New Minya, and New Sohag, with areas ranging from 90 to 126 square meters.
Requirements for Booking Rent-to-Own Apartments
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and no older than 45 years old at the time of application and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. Applicants, their spouses, or their minor children must not have previously owned a housing unit or a plot of land, whether currently owned or previously transferred to another party.
Applicants must also comply with the specified monthly income limits based on the rental value and offering conditions. Each family is not permitted to apply to reserve more than one unit.
Booking Date and Application Process
Applications for the rent-to-own apartments opened on September 20, 2026, and will remain open until October 19. Applications are submitted through the Masaken portal after creating an account on the Egypt Digital Platform and linking it to the portal. Applicants must then complete the required information and upload the necessary documents in accordance with the terms and conditions booklet.
