Engineer Mohamed Abdelaziz Amer, Head of the Badr City Authority, announced a campaign to shut down non-compliant shops in cooperation with the Construction Police. The campaign targeted Building 68 in the First Neighborhood. Unauthorized activities were halted and the site was restored to its original condition in preparation for legal action.
Meanwhile, the El Shorouk City Authority, led by Engineer Bassam Mohamed Fadl, carried out a series of operations to detect and remove construction violations. These included illegal building levels and wooden scaffolding that did not comply with construction regulations.
The campaigns involved removing violations at several locations. In Plot 21 – First Neighborhood – Fourth District West, 10 unauthorized rooftop columns were demolished. In Plot 18 – Eleventh Neighborhood – Third District East, illegal rooftop rooms were completely removed. Additionally, excess unauthorized structures in rooftop rooms were eliminated at Plot 40 – Second Neighborhood – Third Area (Apartment Buildings).
Officials confirmed that legal procedures have been initiated against all violators, and immediate demolition of illegal structures was carried out. They emphasized the continuation of monitoring campaigns without leniency and stated that no tolerance will be shown towards any attempt to breach construction regulations or distort the urban appearance of the city.
They also stressed the importance of adhering to construction codes and obtaining the necessary permits before commencing any construction work.
