Qatari Diar confirmed that the development and construction of the “Alamein El Roum” area on the North Coast aim to establish a world-class integrated urban city, to be implemented through partnerships with major international companies. The project is in line with the Egyptian state’s plans to achieve comprehensive development in the North Coast and transform it into a year-round development hub.
This came during a meeting held by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, prime minister, at the government headquarters to follow up on developments in the “Alamein El Roum” project. The meeting was attended by Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, minister of housing, utilities, and urban communities; H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al Thani, CEO of Qatari Diar; Dr. Walid Abbas, deputy minister of housing for new urban communities; Eng. Khaled Seddiq, assistant minister of housing; Eng. Mostafa Abdel Wahab, CEO of the General Authority for Tourism Development; along with company officials.
During the meeting, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that the project represents a major investment partnership between Egypt and Qatari Diar, aimed at establishing a new development hub along the North Coast through the implementation of a variety of projects, in light of the state’s plans to make optimal use of coastal land and establish planned tourism-oriented urban communities that operate year-round.
The meeting included a review of the proposed plans for the project, as well as a follow-up on the implementation status of the works. The main components of the project were also reviewed, including educational and healthcare facilities, residential units, hotels, commercial areas, entertainment facilities, and various services, reflecting the vision of establishing an integrated city encompassing a wide range of activities and services.
For his part, Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al Thani praised the development boom taking place along the North Coast, affirming that Qatari Diar aims to implement the “Alamein El Roum” project to the highest standards through partnerships with major international companies, ensuring the development of an integrated project in accordance with the best standards.
The CEO of Qatari Diar added that the project is based on the establishment of a world-class integrated urban city that operates year-round rather than a tourist resort. This aligns with the Egyptian state’s plans to achieve comprehensive development in this promising area and enhance the North Coast’s position as a destination for development and investment.
He noted that the project reflects the alignment between the company’s vision and the Egyptian state’s approach to implementing integrated urban and tourism projects that contribute to maximizing the utilization of coastal land and support the establishment of modern communities capable of accommodating various activities and services throughout the year, thereby achieving sustainable development goals.
