Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced significant progress in the implementation of “Housing for All Egyptians” in Badr City. A total of 1,392 residential units are currently under construction, with advanced completion rates. These units cater to low- and middle-income groups and include roads, utilities, landscaping, and essential services.
The minister highlighted that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative, “Housing for All Egyptians,” reflects the government’s vision to provide affordable and suitable housing for all. The program not only fosters social stability but also contributes to job creation by driving economic activity in construction and related industries.
Minister El-Sherbiny reaffirmed the importance of simultaneously implementing service projects alongside the residential units under the initiative. He emphasized the need for meticulous landscaping, including planting and greenery, in areas where buildings and infrastructure have been completed. These efforts ensure that housing units are delivered to eligible citizens in a fully serviced and well-planned environment.
In line with the initiative’s goals, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Aziz Amer, Head of the Badr City Development Authority, conducted an inspection tour of the projects underway. He reviewed the construction of 44 residential buildings, comprising 1,056 units, in the “Middle-Income Housing” segment located in the northern part of the Fourth District.
Additionally, Engineer Amer and his team examined the progress of 14 buildings, housing 336 units, designated for low-income residents under the same initiative, also situated in the northern Fourth District.
During the visit, Engineer Amer urged contractors and project teams to expedite work while maintaining high standards of quality. He stressed the importance of adhering to the planned timelines to ensure timely delivery of these vital housing projects.
The “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative represents a cornerstone of Egypt’s national housing strategy, emphasizing affordability, quality, and sustainability. With ongoing developments in Badr City, the Ministry of Housing continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the urban landscape and enhancing the quality of life for Egyptian citizens. These projects not only address the housing needs of various income groups but also embody the state’s efforts to build modern, well-integrated communities.
