The official spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, Counselor Mohamed Al-Homsany, announced that a recent meeting reviewed the status of land in the promising development sectors of the Northwestern Coast, Siwa, and up to the borders of Sallum. Discussions highlighted the unique advantages of these areas, including prime beachfronts, exceptional natural landmarks, and resources that support key economic projects. These projects encompass tourist establishments, development clusters, environmental zones, and major infrastructure such as road networks, railways, high-speed train routes, and airports.
The meeting underscored the importance of enhancing the hospitality component in targeted development areas, given the significant increase in visitors to the Northwestern Coast in recent times. The surge in tourist numbers aligns with the state’s strategy to expand the availability of hotel accommodations along the Northwestern Coastline. It was also emphasized that all entities involved must adhere to set timelines and quality standards for hotel construction in these regions.
Counselor Al-Homsany added that the meeting addressed the progress of ongoing development in Ras El-Hikma City, particularly the resettlement of families in the “Shams El-Hikma” area. Updates included the status of road construction, utility networks, and services within “Shams El-Hikma,” alongside progress in legalizing land ownership for eligible families and issuing building permits. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to expediting the resettlement process for entitled families at the earliest opportunity.
