Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, reviewed the latest developments of the development project for the “Alamein El Roum” area on the North Coast and reviewed the proposed plans, implementation status, and various components of the project as part of following up on major investment projects aimed at establishing integrated urban and tourism communities that support the state’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development and maximize the utilization of coastal land.
This came during a meeting held by the prime minister at the government headquarters, in the presence of Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, minister of housing, utilities, and urban communities; H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al Thani, CEO of Qatari Diar; Dr. Walid Abbas, deputy minister of housing for new urban communities; Eng. Khaled Siddiq, assistant minister of housing; Eng. Mostafa Abdel Wahab, CEO of the Tourism Development Authority; along with officials from Qatari Diar.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that the “Alamein El Roum” project represents a major investment partnership between Egypt and Qatari Diar and aims to establish a new development hub on the North Coast through the implementation of a diverse range of projects, in line with the state’s plans to make optimal use of coastal land and establish planned urban and tourism communities that operate year-round.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed the proposed plans for the project, along with the implementation status of the works. He also followed up on the project’s main components, which include educational and healthcare facilities; residential units; hotels; commercial activities; as well as entertainment facilities and various services, ensuring integration among the different activities within the new city.
This diversity in the project’s components aims to establish an integrated urban city that provides various services and activities in one location, supporting development in the North Coast region and enhancing its capacity to accommodate more urban, tourism, and investment activities.
For his part, Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al Thani, CEO of Qatari Diar, praised the development boom taking place along the North Coast, affirming that the company aims to implement the “Alamein El Roum” project to the highest standards through partnerships with major international companies.
He added that the project is based on establishing a world-class integrated urban city that operates throughout the year, rather than a tourism resort, in line with the Egyptian state’s plans to achieve comprehensive development in this promising region. He noted that the project reflects a shared vision to establish an integrated urban and tourism development that represents a new development hub on the North Coast.
