Today, Monday, President Sisi is holding a meeting with a number of officials from global companies that have finalized agreements in the outsourcing industry in Egypt. This initiative serves to highlight the importance of this sector, which holds significant potential for growth and development within the Egyptian economy.
This meeting coincides with a notable step taken by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology yesterday, where the Information Technology Industry Development Authority (ITIDA) signed agreements with 55 major companies operating in the outsourcing industry.

These agreements are expected to create more than 70,000 job opportunities, reflecting the ambition to enhance Egypt’s position as a leading global destination in this field. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, along with Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
From a numerical perspective, Egypt has achieved significant successes in the outsourcing industry. The sector’s exports reached approximately $4.8 billion, while the total digital services exports amounted to $7.4 billion. These figures are expected to rise in the future, with total digital services exports projected to reach $9 billion.
It is worth noting that Egypt’s interest in the outsourcing industry is not a recent development. Over the past years, specifically two years ago, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology managed to conclude agreements with 39 international companies, contributing to the creation of about 34,000 job opportunities for Egyptian youth. These numbers and efforts foster increased optimism regarding the promising future of this sector in supporting the national economy.
