President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, accompanied by First Lady Entissar El-Sisi, hosted a dinner banquet this evening at the Pyramids in honor of King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia, on the occasion of the King’s state visit to Egypt.
The Spokesman for the Presidency stated that the President expressed his warm welcome to King Felipe VI, noting that this visit represents a significant boost to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. For his part, the King expressed his appreciation for visiting Egypt, extending thanks to the President for the warm reception and generous hospitality he and his accompanying delegation had received since their arrival in Cairo.
The King also praised the results of the talks he held yesterday morning with President El-Sisi, highlighting their importance in reinforcing bilateral relations between the two nations, based on their shared visions regarding a range of common issues of mutual interest.

Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy added that the meeting addressed many aspects of bilateral relations, particularly in economic and investment fields. The President also referred to the great value of cultural cooperation between Egypt and Spain, which dates back to the 1960s, stressing the need to strengthen collaboration in the field of archaeological heritage and explore opportunities for joint cultural events. At the end of the day, the President and the First Lady accompanied the King and Queen on a sightseeing tour of the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.
