President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, at Al-Ittihadiya Palace. The meeting was attended by General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Cairo Aamer Shaukat, and Major General Syed Muhammad Jawad.
The President expressed his appreciation for the steady development of Egyptian-Pakistani relations, reaffirming Egypt’s keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation in ways that serve the interests of both nations and support development in both countries.

General Munir conveyed the greetings of Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, and praised Egypt’s role in promoting stability across the Middle East. He also congratulated President El-Sisi on the successful organization of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit and the agreement to end the war in Gaza, commending Egypt’s tireless efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis there.
The discussions also addressed ways to enhance regional security across the Middle East and South Asia, emphasizing the importance of consultation to prevent escalation. Both sides explored avenues for cooperation in combating terrorism and extremism.
