As part of the directives of Engineer Randa El Menshawy, minister of housing, utilities, and urban communities, to closely monitor project implementation in new cities, and in line with the instructions of Walid Abbas, deputy minister of housing, utilities, and urban communities, Ammar Mandour, vice president of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for development and construction, conducted a field tour of New Minya City to review the progress of ongoing projects, assess completion rates, and inspect the quality of execution.
He was received by Mohamed El Ezzouni, Head of the New Minya City Development Authority, along with his deputies, in the presence of Mohamed Zouheir, Assistant to the NUCA Vice President for the Development and Construction Sector.
The visit focused on reviewing housing and service projects and ensuring adherence to the scheduled implementation timelines in preparation for delivering housing units to beneficiaries in accordance with the highest quality standards.
Reviewing Social Housing Projects and Accelerating Construction Progress
The tour included inspections of the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh phases of the social housing project. The NUCA vice president instructed officials to expedite the completion of the housing units and continuously monitor the performance of the executing companies to ensure compliance with project schedules, complete construction on time, and deliver the units to eligible beneficiaries as planned.
Reviewing the Diyarna Project
Mandour also inspected the Diyarna housing project, which consists of 21 residential buildings comprising a total of 546 housing units. He directed the rapid completion of work on the procession building and the finalization of landscaping and site development works to enhance the project’s urban appearance and reflect the quality of execution.
Praising the Development of the Tourist Promenade and Green Housing Project
The tour also included a visit to the tourist promenade in the third and fourth districts, where the NUCA vice president praised the quality of landscaping works and the city’s attractive urban appearance.
He further reviewed the Green Housing project, which includes 64 residential buildings, examined construction progress on site, and instructed project teams to accelerate work and complete all activities according to the approved timetable.
Monitoring Public Services and Neighborhood Development in New Minya
The visit also covered inspections of cleanliness and public service operations in the First, Fourth, and Fifth Districts, in addition to the UAE Grant Housing Project units. Mandour directed officials to promptly complete landscaping works, improve cleanliness, and finalize all ongoing development activities.
The NUCA vice president stressed the importance of preserving the urban character of New Minya City by intensifying cleanliness efforts, continuously upgrading roads, improving landscaping, expanding green spaces, completing the planting of unused public squares, and maintaining city entrances and plazas.
He noted that these efforts would enhance the quality of life for residents while improving the efficiency of projects and public services provided throughout the city.
