Dr. Hassan El-Shorbagi, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, announced the reopening of the application window for individuals who had previously submitted requests to reconcile their land status in the Sahara Al-Ahram area within the 6th of October City boundary. This extension will last for one month, during which applicants can complete the necessary paperwork at the 6th of October City Authority office.
This step follows previous announcements related to Presidential Decree No. 566 of 2020, which reallocated 880.99 feddans, symbolized by the letter “B”, and 21.83 feddans, symbolized by the letter “W”, from lands originally designated for Giza Governorate (Sahara Al-Ahram area) to NUCA for the establishment of a new urban community. The decision is in line with the policy established by the Central Unit for Policies on Dealing with Entities and Individuals in areas added to the urban boundaries of several new cities.
Required Documents and Conditions
Dr. El-Shorbagi emphasized that applicants must submit all necessary ownership documents (original for review and a copy) to the 6th of October City Authority. Additionally, applicants should meet the previously announced conditions, as detailed in NUCA’s Board of Directors decisions No. 173 and 180. He reiterated that NUCA is the sole authority over these lands, and any transactions must be conducted exclusively through the 6th of October City Authority, in accordance with Law No. 59 of 1979 concerning new urban communities.
Legal Consequences for Non-Compliance
Dr. El-Shorbagi issued a warning to all companies, associations, individuals, and organizations against taking any action or initiating construction on these lands without prior approval from the 6th of October City Authority. Any violations will be met with immediate legal action, and any unauthorized transactions will be considered null and void. This measure aims to protect the public interest and safeguard citizens from illegal dealings.
