The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), under the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that its Board of Directors, during its latest session held on September 9, 2025, approved granting an additional six-month grace period. This period will begin from the date of official announcement through designated channels, allowing sufficient time to submit adjustment requests for residential, commercial, administrative, professional units, shops, and lands of various activities and sizes within the new cities.
The Authority indicated that this decision comes in response to citizens’ needs, aiming to facilitate the completion of assignment procedures to third parties. This is conditional upon compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements. Administrative fees related to assignment will be subject to discount rates ranging from 10% to 50%, depending on the size of the unit or commercial activity.

The Authority confirmed that previous decisions regarding assignment procedures remain in force. Any requests that are not completed within the specified timeframe will be canceled, and legal measures will be taken against those who violate these instructions.
In this context, Eng. Amin Hassan Ghoneim, Deputy Chairman of the Authority for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, clarified that these decisions are meant to streamline procedures for citizens while ensuring the preservation of state rights. He emphasized that city authorities are committed to implementing these instructions accurately, with official reports to be approved by the Board of Directors to ensure the achievement of the intended goals.
