New Sphinx City Development: Officials Urge Timely Completion of Key Projects
Eng. Ahmed Omran, Assistant Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for the Development and City Improvement Sector, called on the staff at the New Sphinx City Development Authority, led by Eng. Ahmed Ibrahim Anwar, to exert greater effort in ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of ongoing road and infrastructure projects.
During his visit to New Sphinx City, accompanied by officials and project leaders, Omran inspected the ongoing projects, including the construction of a water pipeline with a diameter of 500/400 mm and the preliminary grading work for a road connecting Sheikh Zayed City to the Sphinx Axis. This road is part of the urgent phase of the city’s expansion under Presidential Decree No. 77 of 2017.
The officials received detailed briefings on project progress and emphasized the importance of accelerating work on the water pipeline and road infrastructure to provide essential services to entities that have already completed the legal procedures for land ownership. Additionally, Omran encouraged other entities to finalize their land regularization processes to benefit from the infrastructure developments.
The tour also included a review of the Sphinx Axis expansion project, with officials stressing the need to expedite its completion. The axis is a vital economic and strategic artery for the city, expected to bring significant economic benefits.
The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities emphasized in a statement that these projects are key to the future development of New Sphinx City.
