Engineer Mahmoud Mourad, Head of the New Obour City Authority, announced that New Obour City has successfully conducted public lotteries Nos. (39) and (40) for the allocation of land plots in the El Qadisiya, Kilometer 48, and Former Al Amal areas. The lotteries were held for citizens who completed the land status legalization procedures and paid the reservation deposits by May 21, 2026.
He noted that the initiative comes in line with the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to accelerate land status legalization procedures and promote urban stability.
The head of the New Obour City Authority stated that the lotteries resulted in the allocation and handover of 601 land plots of various sizes, based on the approved area categories. The process followed a thorough review of all applications and supporting documents to ensure the highest levels of fairness and transparency in the allocation procedures.
The lottery events were chaired by Engineer Mahmoud Mourad, Head of the New Obour City Authority, and attended by Dr. Ahmed Amara, General Supervisor of the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector at the New Urban Communities Authority; Counselor Salem El Zahid Mohamed Salem, representative of the State Council; Mohamed Khairy Marouf, Assistant to the Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector; Aser Hafez, Head of the Central Administration for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs at the Authority; and Engineer Mostafa Abdel Aziz, General Manager at the Authority’s Information Center, in addition to the Authority’s deputy heads, officials from the real estate and financial sectors, and representatives of the Construction Police and Civil Defense.
Engineer Mahmoud Mourad emphasized that public lotteries represent one of the key mechanisms for completing the land status legalization process and safeguarding citizens’ rights. He added that utility and infrastructure works are continuing at an accelerated pace to ensure the land plots are ready for delivery and to support integrated urban development efforts across the city.
The event witnessed broad participation from citizens, who praised the high level of organization and transparency. Meanwhile, the New Obour City Authority announced that it will publish the planning maps and layout boards on its official page in the coming period, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and full disclosure throughout all land allocation and legalization procedures.
