The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has officially announced the upcoming release of the “Housing for All Egyptians 2024” project, spearheaded by Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing Fund. This new housing initiative will offer units in 17 new cities with a down payment of 40,000 EGP, presenting an excellent opportunity for Egyptians to own a home through the Real Estate Finance Fund.

  • Copies of the national ID cards of both the applicant and spouse.
  • Proof of monthly income, indicating the net income.
  • A receipt for the down payment.
  • A receipt for the registration fees paid at the post office.
  • A detailed salary statement for the spouse, or a document proving unemployment if the spouse is not employed.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the housing units:

  • The applicant must be a natural person holding Egyptian nationality, not a corporate entity.
  • The applicant must be at least 21 years old at the time of application.
  • A single family (husband, wife, and minor children) is allowed to apply for only one housing unit.
  • Applicants must not have previously been allocated land for social housing.
  • The applicant or any family member must not own or have previously owned a housing unit in any social housing projects, such as Dar Misr or Sakan Misr, whether they still own it or have transferred ownership.
  • The applicant or any family member must not have received a loan or support from the national housing project or any government agency offering housing assistance.

How to Apply for “Housing for All Egyptians”

To apply, acquiring the “Terms and Conditions” booklet is mandatory. The booklet is available at Egyptian post offices in areas where the new project is being launched. The cost of the booklet is 350 EGP.

Steps for Online Application

Applicants must reserve units and select their preferred options through the official website of the Social Housing Fund. The process includes:

  1. Creating a New Account: Register as a new user, set a password, and confirm the account through SMS.
  2. Entering Accurate Details: Provide accurate information, such as the national ID number, name as per the ID card, current residence address, marital status, and details of the spouse and children (if applicable).
  3. Selecting Unit Location: Choose the desired unit location and floor in any of the available cities.
  4. Submitting Payment Receipts: Upload the receipt for the “Terms and Conditions” booklet.
  5. Paying the Down Payment: Make the down payment via bank transfer to the account specified in the booklet and upload the payment receipt on the website.
  6. Finalizing the Reservation: Upload all other required documents to confirm the reservation.
  7. Printing Confirmation: Print the confirmation page for the reservation.

Important Notes

  • The units under “Housing for All Egyptians 2024” for middle and low-income individuals are not allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, they are allocated to those who meet all the requirements and follow the correct application procedure.
  • If the number of eligible applicants exceeds the available units, priority will be given based on the timing of the application submission.
