New Hospital Under Construction in Obour City Nearing Completion

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that the construction of a new hospital on Line 10 Street in Obour City is nearing completion, with an advanced progress rate of 84%. This 189-bed facility aims to enhance medical services for residents in Obour City and nearby areas, contributing to the expansion of healthcare infrastructure in Egypt’s new urban developments.

During a recent review of ongoing service projects across several new cities, Minister El-Sherbiny emphasized the need to accelerate the remaining work on the hospital according to its timeline and to use high-quality materials to meet the project’s high standards. The hospital is expected to play a vital role in the healthcare system for Obour City and surrounding regions.

Engineer Ahmed Rashad, Head of the Obour City Development Authority, led a site inspection, focusing on the preparation of general site infrastructure, including leveling internal roads and pouring concrete for sidewalks. The hospital, located between Districts 3 and 8, will provide a wide range of essential healthcare services once completed.

During his tour, Engineer Rashad was joined by deputy heads of the authority, engineers Alaa Hammad and Hossam Qamar, along with project consultants and officials from construction companies involved in the project. The inspection included a review of finishing works, such as glass and aluminum facade installations, exterior painting, floor tiling, and preparing operating room walls and floors. Additionally, the team monitored the installation of suspended ceilings, wall painting, and the setup of mechanical systems for air conditioning and fire suppression.

Engineer Rashad directed project supervisors and department heads to address any obstacles promptly to maintain progress. He reaffirmed the Obour City Development Authority’s commitment to completing service projects, especially those aimed at enhancing community facilities.
