As part of the directives of Engineer Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Dr. Engineer Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), under the supervision of Engineer Ahmed Ali, NUCA Vice President for Utilities, Engineer Ali Saad, Head of the New Faiyum City Authority, inspected the progress of infrastructure projects and the intensified implementation of ongoing works.
The inspection supports urban development plans and enhances the readiness of new cities to attract more investments and residents. In this context, Engineer Ali Saad reviewed the progress of utility and road construction projects in the Second Industrial Zone within the city’s eastern extension to assess the implementation status and monitor execution rates on the ground.
Details of Water, Sewerage, and Road Network Implementation
The project has achieved the installation of approximately 12 kilometers of drinking water networks, 8 kilometers of sewerage networks with varying pipe diameters, in addition to the construction of 12 kilometers of road networks (sub-base and asphalt).
These works support the city’s urban and industrial expansion and align with the authority’s vision of providing integrated infrastructure that promotes sustainable development in New Faiyum City.
Utility Projects in the Second Industrial Zone Reach 85% Completion
Engineer Ali Saad revealed that the utility networks have reached approximately 85% completion, while road construction continues in parallel. Crushed stone base layers are currently being laid along the main streets of the Second Industrial Zone in preparation for the final paving works.
The Head of the City Authority stressed the importance of accelerating implementation rates and adhering to the approved project timelines while resolving any obstacles facing the executing companies.
He emphasized that completing the projects on schedule will provide integrated infrastructure and high-quality services that meet the needs of residents and investors, while strengthening development and investment opportunities in the eastern extension of New Faiyum City.
