New Electrical Transformer Station Launched in New October City

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the activation of the electrical current at the New October City Transformer Station. Operating at a capacity of 220/22/22 KV and with a total output of 375 MVA, the station has officially entered service. This step reflects the Ministry’s commitment to providing essential services in Egypt’s new cities.

Minister El-Sherbiny highlighted that the station will serve various projects, including residential developments, industrial zones, and diverse land plots. He emphasized the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to advance infrastructure projects that benefit both citizens and investors in new urban areas.

Engineer Mohamed Abdel-Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Authority, elaborated that the station supports housing projects under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in the West Airport area, as well as the city’s industrial and logistical zones. He reaffirmed the Authority’s dedication to executing projects with the highest quality and technical standards.

Abdel-Maqsoud added that these initiatives align with the state’s vision to foster a conducive environment for development, drive industrial and logistical growth, and ensure high-quality services for beneficiaries of the presidential housing initiative.

In a related effort, Abdel-Maqsoud, accompanied by Engineer Eman Shabib, Deputy Head of the Authority, and Dr. Engineer Rezk Mohamed, Assistant Head of the Authority, visited October Airport to discuss ongoing collaborative efforts between the city’s development authority and the airport. Airport officials praised the city’s leadership for its substantial achievements in surrounding roadworks and urban development, expressing appreciation for the fruitful cooperation.

During the visit, Abdel-Maqsoud inspected the roads surrounding the airport and leading to the “Housing for All Egyptians” buildings in the West Airport area. He reviewed the progress and addressed any obstacles hindering project completion.

The Head of the Authority stressed the importance of adhering to approved timelines and engineering standards. He called for increased execution rates to ensure timely delivery of projects, maintaining a standard of excellence befitting the city’s residents and stakeholders.
