In line with the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to maintain strict action against all forms of encroachments and building violations while safeguarding the urban appearance of new cities, authorities across several cities conducted extensive campaigns to remove violations and reclaim unlawfully occupied lands.

These efforts were carried out in coordination with the relevant authorities, alongside taking swift legal measures against violators. In this regard, the Shorouk City Development Authority announced the implementation of a major campaign to enforce land withdrawal decisions and recover violated lands in cooperation with the concerned entities.

The campaign led to the execution of 7 land withdrawal decisions covering nearly 126,000 square meters, in addition to the full removal of fences and encroachments constructed on those lands.

In Badr City, the Development Department of the city authority organized a campaign addressing a violation in the First Neighborhood of the Sixth District after detecting the use of a basement for activities that violated approved regulations and requirements.

The campaign resulted in the closure and sealing of the violating basement, while all necessary legal procedures were immediately taken. In Hadayek October, a campaign was launched that led to the prompt removal of multiple building violations and encroachments.

The removals included halting the construction of rear setback extensions, demolishing walls and columns erected within rear setback areas, removing wooden formwork and walls of violating floors, and removing rear setback columns on several plots located in the “Seventh District, Fourth District, Gardenia (A) and (B), and Sector (W) in the Fifth District.”

At the same time, the Sadat City Development Authority continued its intensive campaigns to eliminate violations and encroachments. In cooperation with the relevant authorities, the authority carried out a removal campaign targeting encroachments within the residential neighborhoods of the “Build Your House” area and the “Tahadi” area in the Green Belt.

The campaign resulted in enforcing removal decisions against unlicensed buildings, fences, and roofs in the “Build Your House” area. It also included implementing a land withdrawal and recovery decision for Plot No. 6 in the “Tahadi” area within the Green Belt, spanning 40 feddans.

In New Minya City, the city authority continued its ongoing campaigns through a large-scale operation aimed at removing unlicensed building violations across several districts and areas of the city. The campaign resulted in the immediate removal of a violation involving the construction of a fourth upper floor without a permit on a plot in the Third Neighborhood of the Second District.

The entire roof of the violating floor was demolished to prevent the continuation of illegal construction works and to decisively confront any attempts at random building or violations of approved planning regulations.

Officials from the city authorities affirmed that these campaigns will continue regularly and through surprise inspections to prevent violations and encroachments on building regulations. They stressed the importance of ensuring that no violations emerge that could negatively impact the civilized appearance and aesthetic image of the new cities.

They also emphasized that addressing violations in their early stages remains a key priority to preserve urban planning standards and provide citizens with a safe, organized, and civilized environment.
