Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, emphasized the importance of achieving effective results from the projects implemented by each affiliated body during the upcoming period. He recommended the need for regular monitoring of all projects to ensure their swift completion.

This came during a meeting held by the Minister of Housing on Monday with the heads and officials of the ministry’s affiliated entities to review work files, in the presence of senior ministry officials.

El-Sherbiny pointed out that the ministry is currently handling numerous files and projects executed by its various affiliated bodies. He expressed his gratitude to the attendees for their efforts over the past period.

The statement stressed the importance of increasing revenues to meet the needs of the projects and enhancing coordination between different entities to support these efforts. The Minister assigned the heads of entities to closely monitor field performance to ensure tasks are completed within the scheduled timelines and to overcome any obstacles.

He also emphasized the need to strengthen governance departments, establish them in entities that currently lack them, and effectively utilize human resources. The importance of digital transformation was highlighted as well, aiming to reduce direct contact between citizens and employees by transitioning transactions to electronic platforms.

The meeting underscored the importance of implementing the directives of the political leadership to increase reliance on local products in both projects and manufacturing. Participants discussed views and proposals to improve the services provided to citizens and boost the pace of work. The heads of the ministry’s affiliated bodies highlighted the significance of digital transformation to facilitate communication with citizens, in addition to the need for employee training to enhance their efficiency.
