Ministry of Housing Continues Support for Low and Middle-Income Groups with Affordable Housing Units

Upcoming Housing Unit Reservation
While the exact date for opening the reservation for social housing units has not been officially announced, Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Support Fund, confirmed that reservations for the project are expected to open by the end of 2024.
Prices of Social Housing Units for 2024
The price of a social housing unit is expected to be around EGP 530,000, with a potential price increase of up to 15% by delivery, depending on economic conditions.
Eligibility for Social Housing Units
- Individuals with a monthly income of up to EGP 10,000 can apply for the social housing units.
- Families can apply if their monthly income does not exceed EGP 13,000.
- The minimum salary required to apply is currently set at EGP 2,700, with possible adjustments based on economic changes.
Conditions for Applying for Social Housing in 2024:
- Citizenship and Age: Applicants must be Egyptian citizens, and at least 21 years old.
- No Prior Housing Support: The applicant or their family must not have previously benefited from any governmental housing support or land allocation.
- One Unit Limit: Applicants are only eligible for one housing unit.
- Income Requirements: The applicant’s income must fall within the ministry’s specified range.
