The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, through the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), continues to offer a wide range of investment opportunities in new cities through its digital investment platform in Egyptian pounds. This aims to attract more domestic investment, maximize the use of state-owned assets, and support urban and economic development across the country.

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, emphasized that expanding investment opportunities in new cities is part of the state’s vision for achieving sustainable urban development. It also aims to strengthen the private sector’s role as a key partner in implementing development projects.

She noted that the ministry is committed to creating an attractive investment environment and simplifying procedures. These efforts aim to strengthen investor confidence and encourage new investments that contribute to achieving the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.

The Minister of Housing added that new cities are a key driver of integrated economic and urban development. These cities are witnessing the expansion of infrastructure, utilities, road networks, and service projects, alongside a diverse range of economic and investment activities.

She explained that the geographical distribution of these cities offers promising opportunities for investors across different categories. It also supports the development of integrated urban communities that provide opportunities for living, working, and investing, while creating jobs and stimulating economic activity.

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy also noted that the ministry is working to integrate urban planning with available investment opportunities. This approach ensures that land is allocated according to each city’s actual needs and development objectives.

It also maximizes the economic and developmental value of available assets while maintaining a balance between different activities and ensuring the provision of essential services for residents.

He added that the available investment opportunities cover more than 15 activities. These include commercial, administrative, medical, educational, sports, entertainment, hotel, tourism, service, and logistics activities, as well as mixed-use developments.

The opportunities are distributed across several new cities, including Sheikh Zayed, El Shorouk, Sadat City, New Alamein, 15th of May City, New Aswan, Obour, New Obour, Badr, New Minya, 6th of October, and New Borg El Arab. Additional opportunities are available in Upper Egyptian cities and other new urban communities.

Eng. Ahmed Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Planning and Projects, confirmed that the offered sites were selected based on planning studies and the development needs of each city.

He explained that a significant proportion of these sites are located along main corridors and regional roads, as well as in areas with high population densities. These locations are expected to improve the prospects of the projects established on them and strengthen their economic and investment feasibility.

Through the continued offering of investment opportunities, the Ministry of Housing aims to increase private sector participation in urban development projects and make better use of the potential of new cities.

These cities have witnessed the implementation of diverse infrastructure, road, utility, and service projects, providing an integrated foundation for investment activities. This approach is expected to support economic growth, create job opportunities, and promote balanced development across the country.
