The Board of Directors of the New Urban Communities Authority, chaired by Engineer Sherif Shorbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has agreed to offer facilitations for the settlement of overdue financial dues on residential, administrative, professional units, commercial shops, and plots of land of all types and sizes (residential, commercial, service, investment, industrial), as well as villas and beach units built by the authority. The facilitation involves a 70% exemption on late payment fines for overdue installments, provided that all outstanding dues are paid within one month from the announcement in daily newspapers.
One-Month Period from the Announcement Date in Newspapers
Minister of Housing and Utilities clarified that the facilitation applies in the following cases:
- Cases where the allocation is still valid.
- In cases where cancellation decisions were issued due to non-payment of financial dues, the units are still in the client’s possession without being withdrawn by the relevant authority.
According to the official announcement, these facilities apply under the following conditions:
Conditions to Receive 70% Exemption
- Compliance with the specified implementation timelines.
- Withdrawal of all lawsuits filed against the authority or its agencies.
- These facilities do not apply to lands allocated under the partnership system.
- These facilities do not apply to lands that have been canceled or withdrawn and are now in the authority’s possession.
- These facilities do not apply to amounts owed to complete the value of advance payments.
