Ministers of Housing and Public Enterprises Discuss Joint Cooperation on Asset Development

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Enterprises, held a meeting to discuss updates on shared cooperation between the two ministries. The meeting, attended by officials from both ministries and the New Urban Communities Authority, focused on mechanisms and opportunities for collaboration.

Cooperation Mechanisms and Opportunities

During the meeting, the two ministers explored the possibilities for developing and enhancing assets owned by companies under the Ministry of Public Enterprises, located in prime areas across various governorates. This aligns with the government’s goal to maximize the utilization of state assets.

Minister El-Sherbini emphasized the importance of deepening collaboration with other ministries and state agencies to unify efforts for the comprehensive development that Egypt is experiencing. He reiterated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to ensure regular coordination between the concerned parties from both ministries to expedite the resolution of joint projects.

Strengthening Collaboration Across Ministries

Minister Mohamed Shimi also stressed the Public Enterprises Ministry’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with all ministries and governmental bodies to meet their collective goals and support the nation’s development under the leadership’s directives. He highlighted the ministry’s strategy to capitalize on and develop its assets to maximize returns, which contributes to urban and developmental projects in various governorates. Shimi praised the fruitful collaboration between the ministry’s companies and the New Urban Communities Authority.
