Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbini announced the offering of 2,004 land plots in New Cairo, confirming that there is no additional space available for further offerings in the area. He clarified that all the offered plots are premium, while stressing the government’s policy in land allocation, which grants each applicant the right to acquire only one plot.
El-Sherbini noted that the tenth phase did not witness any violations of this policy, and the application period was extended until October 8 to meet the needs of Egyptians abroad. He added that all requests under the “Beit El Watan” initiative have been fulfilled with additional land plots offered across all governorates and allocated for the initiative.
Regarding old rent cases, El-Sherbini explained that the ministry will begin classifying cases according to income brackets in October, while providing options for lease-to-own and mortgage financing. He also confirmed the continued regular announcements of social housing projects, pointing out that the tenth phase of the “Housing for All Egyptians” project was fully delivered last month, with the remaining units currently being handed over.
