Eng. Sherif Al-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, directed the expedited execution of projects under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in New October City, emphasizing adherence to the ministry’s delivery plans for housing units to beneficiaries.
This came during the minister’s inspection of ongoing projects in the city, including the completion of 10,608 housing units in Phase 5 of the initiative. To date, 6,600 units have been completed, with the remaining 4,008 units nearing completion.
Eng. Sherif Al-Sherbiny underscored the importance of executing service projects alongside the residential units within the initiative. He also highlighted the need for immediate landscaping and site coordination at locations where buildings and utilities have been completed, ensuring that units are delivered fully equipped with services. The minister further emphasized careful planning for future projects.
Eng. Mohamed Abdel-Maksoud, Head of the New October City Authority, stated that work is underway to finalize the general site coordination and road paving surrounding the Phase 5 projects. Progress is also being made in Phase 6, which includes 55,000 housing units in the West Airport area.
Additionally, Eng. Mahmoud Murad, Deputy Head of the New October City Authority, led a field tour to monitor finishing works, road paving, landscaping of green spaces, and the construction of service buildings.
