Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, addressed the recent crisis surrounding the Zamalek Club land that was withdrawn, affirming the state’s appreciation for the club as one of the largest and most prominent in Egypt.
He explained that the issue has been thoroughly studied in coordination with the Minister of Youth and Sports, and a memorandum was submitted to the Prime Minister regarding the crisis. He also pointed out that he met with the club’s president, Captain Hussein Labib, where possible solutions were discussed, including the allocation of a new plot of land for the club to establish additional branches.

The Minister confirmed that matters are proceeding within official regulations and that solutions are expected soon, whether by restoring the October land or by allocating another piece of land if the club prefers. He emphasized the ministry’s respect for Zamalek’s management and their fruitful cooperation.
