Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, reviewed the progress of utilities and road projects in the Second Industrial Zone within the eastern extension of New Fayoum City. The projects are being implemented as part of the state’s plan to establish fully serviced and integrated industrial zones that support economic development and attract new investments.
Engineer Randa El-Menshawy emphasized that the project is one of the key development initiatives supporting the eastern extension of the city. It aims to deliver a comprehensive infrastructure network for the Second Industrial Zone, including approximately 12 kilometers of water supply networks, around 8 kilometers of sewage networks with various pipe diameters, and 12 kilometers of road networks.
These works are designed to accommodate the area’s urban and industrial expansion while aligning with the state’s vision of providing modern, sustainable infrastructure that supports urban and industrial growth in New Fayoum City.
In this context, the minister of housing reviewed the implementation status and progress rates of the projects. She noted that the utilities networks have reached advanced stages of completion, while crews are currently laying crushed stone base layers along the main roads of the Second Industrial Zone in preparation for paving works, which will be carried out in accordance with the highest technical specifications and engineering standards.
Engineer Randa El-Menshawy stressed the importance of continuing field efforts to improve infrastructure and public services while creating an integrated urban and industrial environment in the new cities. She noted that these efforts will help attract additional investments, create employment opportunities, and support the state’s sustainable development plans.
The minister also directed all concerned parties to accelerate implementation rates across the various project sites, conduct daily follow-ups on ongoing works, and maintain continuous coordination between the relevant authorities and executing companies to eliminate any obstacles that could affect progress.
She further emphasized the need for full compliance with approved technical specifications and quality standards while strictly adhering to the established project timelines.
Meanwhile, Engineer Ali Saad, Head of the New Fayoum City Development Authority, confirmed that work is progressing simultaneously across all sectors of the project under an integrated plan aimed at accelerating implementation and overcoming any challenges facing the executing companies.
He affirmed the authority’s full commitment to technical specifications and scheduled deadlines to ensure the projects are completed on time and achieve the maximum benefit from the investments allocated to developing the city’s infrastructure.
