Engineer Randa El-Manshawi, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Tourism Development to follow up on the authority’s ongoing work files, review the implementation status of tourism development projects, and discuss mechanisms aimed at accelerating investment activity.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Rostom and Dr. Walid Abbas, along with several board members, while some participants joined remotely via video conference.

The minister noted that the ministry is actively working to simplify procedures for investors and remove any obstacles that may hinder project execution while continuously monitoring implementation progress. She also emphasized the importance of expanding promising investment opportunities and strengthening collaboration with the private sector, in line with the state’s strategy to increase both local and foreign investment, support sustainable development efforts, and create more job opportunities.

During the meeting, Dr. Mostafa Minir reviewed a number of investment offers and requests submitted by tourism development and investment companies, in addition to monitoring the progress of ongoing projects.

The discussion also covered procedures for announcing investment opportunities and submitting applications through the authority’s official website, where opportunities are made available between the 1st and 10th of each month via the online platform. The meeting further examined several additional proposals and requests presented by tourism investors and companies.
