Engineer Sherif El-Sharbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting to follow up on the progress of the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector at the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry and the Authority.
The Minister began the meeting by emphasizing the importance of the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector as one of the key pillars within the Authority. He stressed the need to hold regular meetings to align objectives and visions in the coming period.
During the meeting, the Minister focused on the importance of increasing the Authority’s revenues by intensifying project offering plans and enhancing efforts to collect dues from all entities. He also highlighted the various facilitation measures available to ease interactions with citizens and investors.
Furthermore, he directed the development of the Authority’s electronic platforms used for presenting projects, in support of digital transformation — in line with the state’s orientation toward governance and the digitalization of all procedures, ensuring improved customer experience and sustainable governance across the sector.
The Minister emphasized the need to establish a mechanism to monitor customer feedback and respond to their suggestions and needs in accordance with the governing laws and regulations. The goal, he noted, is to simplify procedures and provide comprehensive, integrated services.
The meeting also discussed the sector’s vision regarding digital development, increasing the Authority’s financial resources, following up on foreign investment opportunities, and advancing the process of regularizing the status of added lands in several new cities.
Additionally, the current and upcoming project offerings were reviewed — including land plots, residential units, commercial outlets, and administrative units — all of which contribute to driving development and investment in the new cities.
