Engineer Randa Al-Manshawi has followed up on the progress of a number of ongoing projects in New Alamein City and the nearby tourist villages. These include the “Mazarine” compound, the New Alamein conference and exhibition center, as well as continuing development works in the Marina area.
The minister highlighted that New Alamein City has emerged as one of the leading coastal destinations for investment and modern activities, driven by the significant urban and development boom it is currently experiencing.
She also stressed the importance of diversifying services and activities within the city, while ensuring the provision of advanced services that reflect the North Coast’s position as a global tourism and investment hub.
She further emphasized the necessity of adhering strictly to scheduled timelines for all ongoing projects, alongside maintaining daily field follow-ups to guarantee completion according to the highest quality standards. This, she noted, reflects the scale of development taking place in New Alamein City and across the North Coast in various sectors.
The minister also reviewed a report summarizing a field tour conducted by Dr. Engineer Mohamed Khalaf Allah to monitor development and urban coordination activities along the Boulevard Road within the “Mazarine” compound.
Instructions were issued to swiftly complete facade works, remove debris and construction materials between building entrances, and intensify cleaning operations across the site to preserve the project’s urban character and enhance the visual appearance of the Boulevard Road.
Directives also included improving lighting in central islands, highlighting decorative elements and landscaped trees along the road, and accelerating the completion of bicycle lane markings in a proper urban style. These measures aim to create a fully integrated and safe urban environment for both residents and visitors of the compound.

The inspection tour also covered several residential buildings within the “Mazarine” compound, where the head of the authority reviewed final finishing works in basements, including site coordination and service rooms, in addition to landscaping activities.
Emphasis was placed on maintaining cleanliness across roads and main axes, intensifying beautification and landscaping efforts, and promptly addressing all observations in preparation for delivering units to clients according to the highest quality standards. A commercial unit being prepared for opening was also inspected.
The report further included follow-ups by officials of the New Alamein City Authority on final finishing works at the International Conference and Exhibition Center in the Heritage City area.
Remaining tasks and project progress rates were reviewed, with instructions issued to accelerate completion in line with planned schedules, intensify around-the-clock work, increase manpower on site to boost execution rates, speed up completion of low-current systems, and finalize flooring works at the highest quality level.
Additionally, Engineer Ahmed Mostafa monitored ongoing works at the Boughaz project in Zone 24, including the bridge constructed above the inlet, as part of continuous field supervision aimed at accelerating implementation and completing works before the summer season.
The inspection included monitoring installation and construction works on the bridge, along with site coordination activities and restoration of surrounding areas, with an emphasis on maintaining the highest quality and safety standards during execution.
Follow-ups also covered the Boughaz connecting the northern lakes with the “New Marina” lakes, where excavation progress, preparation of the water tunnel, and concrete slab casting for the inlet structure were observed. This project is considered highly important for improving water circulation and enhancing the efficiency of the lake system in the area.
The Head of the Tourist Villages Authority confirmed that a new traffic axis is being implemented to connect Marina 4 and Marina 5, aimed at organizing vehicle movement and ensuring smoother internal traffic flow between the areas, thereby improving mobility within the Marina tourist zone.
He clarified that the development works currently underway are solely intended to regulate traffic and facilitate vehicle movement, without constructing any fences or barriers that would restrict pedestrian movement or individual access between Marina 4 and Marina 5. He also affirmed that free movement and access between all areas will remain available to owners through the designated gates within the Marina Center.
