Eng. Randa Al-Manshawi, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, reviewed the implementation progress and execution status of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” projects in Hadayek October, New October, Hadayek 10th of Ramadan, 10th of Ramadan City, and New Obour.
The minister highlighted the importance of ongoing monitoring of execution rates in new urban cities to ensure the delivery of fully integrated housing units that meet citizens’ needs and align with the state’s objectives of providing safe and adequate housing under the initiative.
She also stressed the need to enhance coordination between implementing companies and supervising authorities, remove any obstacles that could delay execution, and ensure strict adherence to project timelines to guarantee timely completion.
The minister received a detailed report on the results of an inspection tour carried out by Eng. Ammar Mandour, vice chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Development and Construction Sector, who inspected several residential and service projects in Hadayek October City, accompanied by Eng. Yasser Abdel Halim, head of the Hadayek October City Authority, along with officials from the development sector and the city authority.
The tour included an inspection of the “810 Buildings – Housing for All Egyptians” project, where execution progress and interior and exterior finishing works were reviewed, along with general site coordination activities.
Instructions were issued to intensify construction efforts and shorten project timelines to ensure early completion, in preparation for handing over units to eligible beneficiaries according to the planned schedule.
The follow-up also covered the “396 Buildings” project, which complements the “810 Buildings” development under Phase Six. Current execution rates were reviewed, with emphasis placed on starting utilities and roadworks in parallel with construction activities to accelerate progress and achieve the targeted timeline.
The report also included inspection tours conducted by officials from the New October City Authority across “Housing for All Egyptians” projects in Phase Six in the West Airport area (sectors A and B). Field visits monitored progress across all work sites, stressing the importance of intensifying efforts, reviewing work quality, and ensuring full compliance with approved technical specifications and quality standards.
Eng. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Razek, Head of the Hadayek 10th of Ramadan City Development Authority, also held an expanded meeting with representatives of utility companies working on the Green Housing project under the presidential initiative, as well as telecommunications providers.
The meeting reviewed current execution rates for utilities and infrastructure works, discussed key challenges and potential obstacles affecting progress, and emphasized adherence to timelines while promptly addressing any field issues.
The report stated that the Hadayek 10th of Ramadan Development Authority continues to intensify work on the main irrigation line project for phases five and six of the initiative in the city, as part of its plan to support infrastructure development and strengthen the irrigation system in line with sustainable urban development goals.
It also reviewed an inspection tour conducted by Eng. Mahmoud Murad, Head of the New Obour City Development Authority, along with officials, to monitor roadworks and site coordination for Phase Six of the “Housing for All Egyptians” project in District 37, which includes 125 residential buildings. The inspection covered base and asphalt layers, curbstone works, landscaping, and green area development.
Officials also inspected utilities works for the Green Housing project in District 37, which includes 143 residential buildings. They reviewed the status of water and sewage networks and road preparation works, stressing the importance of full coordination between implementing companies and relevant departments to ensure timely completion according to approved schedules.
In the same context, Eng. Alaa Abdel-Lah Mostafa, head of the 10th of Ramadan City Development Authority and supervisor of the Hadayek 10th of Ramadan Authority, inspected utilities and site coordination works for the “Housing for All Egyptians – Al Nargis District – Phase Five” project to follow up on execution progress across all components.
The inspection included water supply, sewage, electricity, and telecommunications networks, as well as roadworks and general site coordination. He stressed the importance of adhering to timelines and completing work according to the highest quality standards.
He noted that the project comprises 298 residential buildings with a total of 6,994 fully serviced housing units, each with an area of 90 square meters. Implementation officials confirmed that water and sewage networks, as well as road preparation works, have been fully completed, while electricity, telecommunications, and road network works are at advanced stages of completion.
