Minister of Housing Reviews Progress in New Alamein City Projects

Eng. Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a comprehensive meeting today at the New Alamein City Authority headquarters. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of various projects within the city and surrounding areas, including the tourism villages (Marina Alamein Tourist Center, Marakiya Village, Marbella Village), as well as development activities in the New Ras El Hekma City and land development in the West Dabaa area, spanning 1,230 acres.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Amin Ghoneim, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Development and Urban Projects, along with authority officials and the minister’s technical office.

During the meeting, Eng. Khaled Sorour, Head of the Tourism Villages Authority, provided a detailed report on the infrastructure improvement works at the Marina Alamein Center. This included enhancements to the water supply, sewage systems, marine works, green spaces, roads, and more. The minister emphasized the importance of maintaining and upgrading essential services to ensure their sustainability, enhancing the aesthetic and functional aspects of the area before the upcoming summer season, and increasing parking spaces. He also stressed the need to maximize the use of available land and boost attractiveness through innovative recreational projects.

The minister insisted on accelerating the execution of the Marina 8 project at the Marina Alamein Tourist Center, which features villas, twin houses, chalets, apartments, and various amenities overlooking Marina Lake. The project, spanning 104 acres, includes infrastructure, roads, landscaping, and water features like swimming pools and fountains, all designed to ensure lake views from every unit.

Eng. Walid Abdel Rahman Haggag, Head of the New Ras El Hekma City Authority, presented the ongoing preparations for implementing various developmental and investment projects in Ras El Hekma. He also discussed the status of land allocation and infrastructure development in the “Shams Al Hekma” area, which includes residential, service, commercial, and investment zones, along with major road networks.

Eng. Walid Abdel Qader, Head of the Second Sector of the Northwest Coast Development Authority, reviewed the development progress of lands in the West Dabaa area. This area will feature a fully serviced urban community to accommodate residents from the West Dabaa maritime and inland regions, along with regional investment zones along the coastal road.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Eng. Ahmed Ibrahim, Head of the New Alamein City Authority, provided an update on various city projects, including the beach area towers, downtown towers, “Mazarin” compound, the Latin Quarter, “Sakan Misr,” “Sakan Lekol Masryeen,” the Heritage City, and related infrastructure and road projects.
