Minister of Housing Reviews Development Projects in Cairo

Engineer Sherif El-Shorbagy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting to follow up on the progress of two key projects in Cairo: the operation of the “Walkway of the People of Egypt” along the Nile Corniche and the development projects at the former Imbaba Airport land. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Housing and the New Urban Communities Authority.

During the meeting, El-Shorbagy emphasized the need to adhere to the highest standards for the operation and management of the “Walkway of the People of Egypt” project, ensuring its maintenance and preservation in the best possible condition. He also stressed the importance of maximizing the potential of investment lands under the jurisdiction of the New Urban Communities Authority in the Imbaba Airport area.

Additionally, El-Shorbagy directed the development and rehabilitation of the park located at the Imbaba Airport site, aiming to improve its quality and ensure its management and operation in a dignified manner. The minister also highlighted the urgency of upgrading the housing units constructed in the area to meet the required standards of quality.
