Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has issued four decisions to remove building violations and encroachments in the North-Western Coast and New Al-Fashn City, in addition to a plot of land within the Social Housing Project in one of the villages.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized the ministry’s ongoing efforts to eliminate encroachments and building violations to preserve the urban landscape, prevent informal developments, and protect state resources. He also pointed out that city authority heads have been given directives regarding this matter, which falls under their direct responsibilities.
In this context, the Minister of Housing issued two decisions. The first mandates the removal of encroachments on an area of 105 feddans, 17 karats, and 13.3 shares, in addition to 207 feddans owned by the New Urban Communities Authority, located within the boundaries of New Al-Fashn City, which had been illegally used for agricultural activities.
The second decision stipulates the removal of building violations on a plot of land in Heliobeach Village, a tourist resort located along the Alexandria-Marsa Matrouh Coastal Road, within the jurisdiction of the Development Authority for the North-Western Coast’s First Sector. A ground-floor building had been constructed there without obtaining the necessary permits.
The ruling also ordered the removal of building violations on a plot of land in Al-Manasrah Village, situated behind the social housing buildings in Port Said Governorate. These violations include encroachments over 250 square meters involving the construction of concrete footings and wooden formwork preparation for unauthorized construction; all carried out without the required permits.
The decisions also specified that city authorities would cooperate with the Urban Development Police and the relevant local police department to carry out the removal operations.
