Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, took part in the launch event of the “Tahya Misr” Fund, which aims to provide humanitarian aid to Palestinian brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip. The convoy set off from various governorates across Egypt, accompanied by the launch of the “Abwab El-Kheir” (Doors of Goodness) initiative to support the most vulnerable families in 27 governorates during the month of Ramadan, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The event was attended by several ministers, officials, governors, business figures, and representatives of civil society organizations.
The Minister of Housing expressed happiness at launching the largest humanitarian aid convoy for Palestinians in Gaza and inauguring the “Abwab El-Kheir” initiative to support needy families during Ramadan. He emphasized that these efforts reflect the cooperation between Egypt and Palestine and reaffirm Egypt’s ongoing support for vulnerable families.
The convoy is considered the largest humanitarian aid convoy, departing from various governorates in Egypt with more than 460 trucks carrying over 7,200 tons of food supplies, essential needs, and medical equipment to Gaza at the beginning of Ramadan 1446, under the slogan “Together for Humanity.” Additionally, the “Abwab El-Kheir” initiative, launched by the Tahya Misr Fund, aims to ease the burdens on the most vulnerable families during Ramadan by providing 2.5 million food boxes containing dry goods, along with meat, poultry, and hot meals for Iftar and Suhoor.
