Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has been actively supervising the land regularization system and infrastructure development in the newly added areas of New Obour City. Regular reports and field visits have informed him about the progress of utility installations, road construction, and the process of receiving citizens’ and entities’ land regularization applications.
In a recent statement, El-Sherbiny directed consistent monitoring of ongoing projects within these expanded areas, emphasizing the need for swift completion of regulatory processes for residents and property holders. The goal is to quickly develop these regions into well-planned urban communities to meet the city’s future housing and service needs.
Ahmed Ismail, Head of the New Obour City Authority, conducted an inspection of the utility projects in the Al-Amal area. Accompanied by authority officials and contractors, Ismail reviewed the progress of essential infrastructure projects, including water and sewage networks and road preparations in key neighborhoods. He emphasized the importance of both prompt completion and high-quality execution to facilitate the land regularization process and enhance service quality.
Ismail also met with engineers and technical staff to discuss possible solutions to ensure high-quality standards and adherence to project schedules. He noted that infrastructure projects in the newly added areas are central to advancing land regularization and improving service levels for New Obour residents.
Further, Ismail evaluated the performance of the city’s technological service center, ensuring that processes for land regularization are efficient and citizen-friendly. He discussed challenges with the staff and underscored the role of modern technology in speeding up service delivery.
Ismail reviewed the progress of key road projects, including the 5.8 km R3 road linking the Middle Ring Road to R6, passing through Qadisiyah, and the 11.2 km R4 road that connects the Middle Ring Road with the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road. He also inspected the installation of a water pipeline under the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road to supply water to the newly added areas, preparing for land handovers to citizens.
These efforts reflect the ministry’s commitment to swift and effective urban expansion, aiming to enhance infrastructure and services in newly developed urban zones.
