Minister of Housing Meets with the Real Estate Developers Association to Explore Ways of Enhancing Cooperation

In line with the directives of the political leadership to strengthen cooperation between the state and the private sector and to encourage real estate investment as a means of achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, Engineer Sherif El-Shorbagi, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with members of the Real Estate Developers Association. The aim of the meeting was to discuss mechanisms of cooperation and provide support to the real estate development sector. The session was attended by senior officials from the ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority.

The Minister opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and highlighting the importance of the real estate sector as one of the main pillars of the national economy, as well as a vital field for attracting investments and creating job opportunities. He stressed that under the guidance of the political leadership, the ministry is working to support the role of the private sector as a key partner in development while ensuring a stable business environment that balances the interests of the state, developers, and citizens.

The Minister explained that the ministry seeks to provide more investment opportunities in new cities across various fields, with a commitment to achieving balanced urban development that covers all governorates. He affirmed that these efforts align with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.

The Minister listened attentively to the views and proposals of the members of the Real Estate Developers Association, emphasizing that all such requests undergo thorough review by the ministry. He also reiterated the government’s commitment to providing full support to serious investors within a framework of transparency and accountability.

For their part, members of the association expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the Ministry of Housing, highlighting their gratitude for the continuous engagement between the ministry and real estate developers. They praised the positive stance toward strengthening cooperation to achieve the goals of comprehensive urban development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Real Estate Developers Association honored Engineer Sherif El-Shorbagi in recognition of his distinguished efforts in supporting the real estate development sector and reinforcing the partnership between the state and the private sector. The Minister received two commemorative shields—one from the Real Estate Developers Association and another from the Cityscape platform—in appreciation of his significant role in fostering a stable and attractive investment environment that contributes to realizing the state’s vision for comprehensive urban development and building the New Republic.
