Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with officials from City Edge Developments to assess the delivery progress of residential units for buyers in various projects within New Alamein City. The meeting was attended by Engineer Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for Development and City Upgrading, Engineer Ahmed Ibrahim, Head of New Alamein City Authority, and other representatives from the ministry and the minister’s technical office.
Incentives to Operate Commercial Shops Year-Round
During the meeting, the Minister discussed proposals with City Edge officials to provide incentives for keeping commercial shops open year-round in New Alamein City’s main hubs, heritage city, and other areas. The goal is to ensure that the city remains vibrant and livable throughout the year, instead of being active only during the summer season. This aligns with the government’s vision to make New Alamein City a year-round destination by increasing attraction factors and boosting occupancy rates through continuous service provision.
Adherence to Marketing Deadlines
The Minister also reviewed City Edge’s marketing efforts for various NUCA projects, including residential, commercial, administrative, and entertainment developments in New Alamein and other cities. He emphasized the importance of sticking to the established timelines for marketing plans and continuously monitoring and evaluating their progress to achieve the desired goals. The minister also stressed the need to maximize the utilization of NUCA’s available units and enhance financial returns.
