As part of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the executive and legislative branches, Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, met with a number of members of the Senate to discuss citizens’ requests within their electoral constituencies and review several vital issues related to the ministry’s areas of responsibility.

At the beginning of the meeting, the minister of housing emphasized the ministry’s commitment to maintaining continuous communication with members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, helping identify citizens’ needs and work toward meeting them in line with the state’s comprehensive urban development plans.

Engineer Randa El-Menshawy explained that the ministry is implementing an integrated vision aimed at improving citizens’ quality of life by expanding the development of new cities, upgrading infrastructure, enhancing the efficiency of utilities and public services, and implementing housing projects that meet the needs of various segments of society.

The meeting included a review of several requests and proposals submitted by Senate members, covering utility connections and the implementation of public service projects. The Minister of Housing directed that these requests be studied urgently and coordinated with the relevant authorities to take the necessary actions based on priorities and available resources.

Dr. Randa El-Menshawy affirmed that the ministry places great importance on responding promptly to citizens’ requests and developing practical, sustainable solutions to the challenges they face, in line with the state’s strategy of achieving balanced development across all governorates.

For their part, the Senate members expressed their appreciation for the minister of housing’s commitment to maintaining direct communication with the people’s representatives and listening to citizens’ concerns.

They also commended her serious attention to reviewing the submitted requests and praised the ministry’s policy of cooperation and coordination with the legislative branch, which supports development efforts and enhances the quality of services provided to citizens.
