Eng. Randa El-Menshawy Stresses the Importance of Efficient Performance to Develop Cleaning, Landscaping, and Maintenance Systems and Ensure Service Sustainability for Citizens
Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with Eng. Mohamed Abou Taleb, CEO of Madin Misr for Asset and Facility Management, along with his accompanying delegation, to review the progress of cleaning, maintenance, and landscaping systems and to enhance the quality of services delivered to citizens in new cities.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities; Eng. Ahmed Emran, Deputy Minister for Utilities; in addition to officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and heads of agencies in several cities.
At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. Randa El-Menshawy welcomed the company’s representatives, stressing the need to work efficiently to develop cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance systems and to expand their implementation across various new cities. She emphasized that these efforts would help preserve assets, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the long-term sustainability of services provided to citizens.
The Minister of Housing affirmed that the purpose of the meeting is to ensure the effective implementation of plans aimed at raising service levels in new cities, maximizing the utilization of assets across all cities, removing any obstacles, and providing all necessary support to ensure the success of the system.
She also underscored the importance of prioritizing the public transportation system and establishing internal transport networks within each city, using modern and clean transportation means bearing the logo of the New Urban Communities Authority.
This, she noted, reflects the modern urban identity of new cities. She further highlighted the importance of linking these networks with nearby public transportation services, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The meeting reviewed the status of cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance systems in several new cities, including El Shorouk, 6th of October, Sheikh Zayed, New Alamein, New Cairo, 10th of Ramadan, and Gardens of 10th of Ramadan.
It also discussed the procedures taken to launch the company’s operations in additional cities, as well as the maintenance of green spaces, roads, and main axes in new cities, along with efforts to address encroachments and violations on some roads and residential areas.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Eng. Randa El-Menshawy directed the swift completion of all procedures related to launching the company in the targeted cities in the coming period and the intensification of efforts aimed at improving the efficiency of services provided to citizens.
