Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has taken decisive steps by issuing two rulings to remove building violations and land encroachments. The first involves 41.34 feddans in New Fayoum City, while the second covers 74 cases of unauthorized construction in Sheikh Zayed City. These violations included agricultural activities and walls erected without licenses or legal justification.
The New Fayoum City Development Authority and the Sheikh Zayed City Development Authority have been tasked with implementing these decisions in cooperation with the Housing Police and the competent police department. Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny stressed the ministry’s ongoing commitment to confronting building violations and encroachments in new cities and urban communities, alongside continued inspection campaigns to prevent the spread of unregulated practices and to preserve the civilized character of these areas.

In a related context, the 15th of May City Authority carried out a campaign in cooperation with the Housing Police to enforce ten closure and sealing decisions, in addition to two decisions to halt construction works. Meanwhile, the New Sohag City Authority stopped unauthorized construction in the “Ibni Beitak” area for exceeding building regulations, removed the violation, and confiscated the equipment used.
On another front, the Sheikh Zayed City Authority announced the immediate removal of several violations in different districts and neighborhoods, including Beit Al-Watan, in coordination with the police. Similarly, the New Sphinx City Authority executed demolitions in the third and fourth sectors of illegally constructed buildings, with official violation reports filed and immediate removals carried out in accordance with the law.
